Hit show Dancing With The Stars won't be returning to TV ONE next year.
TVNZ has decided against commissioning the show, because current market conditions don't support such an expensive programme.
TVNZ spokesperson Megan Richards says despite its huge popularity the cost of mounting the multi-million dollar, BBC-format production has made Dancing With The Stars a marginal venture for the company.
Richards says TVNZ is treating the decision as a 'rest' for the programme, and will re-evaluate the situation for 2011.
