Nicole Richie has given birth to a baby boy and given him the name Sparrow.
According to People magazine , Richie and her partner, Good Charlotte's Joel Madden, welcomed their second child into the world on Thursday morning (NZT).
The baby's full name is listed on Richie's website as Sparrow James Midnight Madden. He is little brother to 19-month-old Harlow.

If you named your child knowing that it makes you cringe ..then you have a problem. But why would you even take into consideration what other people assume or think. Maybe they are still living in their little "matchbox " world.It has to be a very small and lonely existence in there. I feel sorry for them.

What are these parents thinking? These children have a lifetime to live with the names they are given. Naming a child should show respect to the child (considering they are babies when they are named and have no say) and be taken seriously which is something some celebrity parents don't appeared to have considered.

Sparrow..is my daughters name..and has been for the past 9+ years. I have always been asked WHY DID I NAME HER THAT ? But it is because people follow name trends and now it seems , she will forever be asked the same inane question. ( lol) I know why i named my beautiful daughter Sparrow...I wonder why she chose that name for her son.
