New Zealand entertainers have rallied together for an I Love the Islands benefit concert towards the victims of the deadly Samoan tsunamis.

Nearly 200 people, including seven New Zealanders, were killed when a series of waves slammed into the tiny Pacific islands, triggered by an 8.0 magnitude earthquake southwest of American Samoa.

Dawn Raid, Scribe, Savage with Oscar Kightley and Ole Maiava have organised a line-up of top New Zealand musicians for the October 19, 2009 concert, which will be held at the Vector Arena in Auckland.

Artists, businesses and personnel have donated their services and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the people of Samoa.

The concert will be hosted by Kightley and line-up includes Neil and Tim Finn, Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga, Savage, Scribe, Hollie Smith, Elemeno P, Nesian Mystik to name a few.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin benefit concert dates are still to be announced.
