It seems having a super cute baby in tow is all the rage these days.

Cute bubbas (which tend to be mini versions of their stylish Mums) are being shamelessly flaunted around fashion capitals of the world, touted as the ultimate "accessory du jour".

There are also those who have followed in the footsteps of Mia and Woody. Adopting babies left, right and centre, from the four corners of the Earth, perhaps a nod to the brand United Colours of Benetton? Think Madonna and Angelina with their insane broods. Think Madonna and Angelina with their insane broods.

Being pregnant is also one of the hottest looks a woman can have right now. Think of all the Hollywood starlets, glammed up to the nines with their bumps proudly protruding from their designer gear.

And it's not just Hollywood. There is something in the water here at TVNZ and we are surrounded by gorgeous, blooming women about to celebrate motherhood.

Quite a few of our female presenters and reporters are preggers: The lovely Wendy Petrie, Rochelle Gillespie and Sonia Voigt, to name a few. There are also those who have recently given birth, like Pippa Wetzell, and even more recently - i.e last week! -like Bernadine Oliver-Kerby.

Being a mum-to-be is always wonderful news, but to a stylist, finding out one of your stars is pregnant can promote a feeling of intense anxiety! While we at Style Blog love celebrating motherhood and all its undulating curves, it can pose problems as the bump gets bigger and bigger.

Initially for pregnant lasses, the body stays roughly the same shape (apart from the tummy of course) so you can't really go up in size as the shoulders, etc, will be way too big.

The best looks are those with really clean design lines, anything that isn't too "wayhey" or fussy. Hint: Empire lines are always flattering.

Sky-high heels are a way of making pregnancy look super hot and making women who's bodies are rapidly changing still feel sexy and attractive.

Check out some of our picks for pregnant and loving it!
