Ariel Winter wants nothing to do with her mother.
The Modern Family star is currently in the custody of her 34-year-old sister Shanelle Grey after being removed from her mother Chrisoula 'Chrystal' Workman's care in October amid allegations of abuse.
She has not spoken to her mother in five months and does not want to undergo therapy with her to repair their relationship.
According to gossip website TMZ.com, the 15-year-old actress's lawyer told a judge in Los Angeles she did not want to be in the same room as Workman, who asked the judge to force her daughter to go to therapy with her.
But the judge refused her request and said he could not force the teenager to have a relationship with her if she did not want to.
Earlier this month Ariel admitted she had never been happier and felt like a "normal" teenager since moving in with her sister.
She said: "My life is definitely more normal - and that'll help me grow up like I'm supposed to.
"Sunday we have family dinner. It's just a different experience for me because I have more of a family life. I'm really happy."
Workman lost custody of Winter following an investigation by child services last year, during which they found evidence of emotional abuse.
