A song performed by Miley Cyrus as her hit character Hannah Montana has been yanked from the list of Grammy nominations only days after being listed, says People.com .

The pop singer's single The Climb featured in Hannah Montana: The Movie and was originally in the Grammy category of best song written for a soundtrack but is now being replaced.

The nomination will go to the entry with the next highest number of votes which is All Is Love, by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs from the movie Where The Wild Things Are.

The Climb was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, meaning 17-year-old Cyrus was never personally nominated.

People says a source from the Cyrus camp says the song was submitted in the category by mistake and withdrawn only a day later.

Representatives for the Grammys did not specify why The Climb was replaced.

The other nominees in the category are Decode (Twilight), Jai Ho (Slumdog Millionaire), Once In A Lifetime (Cadillac Records) and The Wrestler (The Wrestler).
