Michael Lohan is going to be a father again.

The reality television star - who already has kids daughters Lindsay and Ali and sons Cody and Michael with former wife Dina - will welcome a new child with on/off girlfriend Kate Major, a representative has confirmed to gossip website TMZ.

While Major is said to be in her first trimester, it is believed conception occurred during the time she had a restraining order against Lohan, 52, meaning it was illegal for them to spend any time together.

It is unclear if any charges will be pressed for the breach of the order.

Lohan has not yet told his children, including troubled actress Lindsay, that they can expect a new addition to their family.

Major was granted a restraining order against Lohan last year following months of arguments between the couple, many of which turned violent with each accusing the other of assault.

However, in April, Lohan claimed Major was trying to get pregnant by him.

He said: "I was in the hospital with kidney stones and Kate just barged in! She's been taking ovulation tests trying to get pregnant from me.

"She hates the fact that I'm doing so well, that I am getting close to Dina and the kids who hate her, and can't stand the fact that my mum and sister came down to visit me and Kate was unwanted."

Major, meanwhile, has previously called Lohan a "sick, old man", adding "he is a liar and because I want nothing to do with him, he has been stalking me and I finally HAD to take action again.

"I have emails, pictures and witnesses to disprove all of his desperate and pathetic claims, plus a permanent order of protection which he constantly violates."
