She calls her fans "little monsters" and on Saturday night thousands of them will fill Auckland's Vector Arena for Lady Gaga's first headline tour in New Zealand.

Outrageous outfits are her trademark and with 16 costume changes planned for the sell-out show, Lady Gaga shouldn't disappoint in the style stakes.

The star is not the only one playing the fashion game with fans from around the country taking a page from the singer's book and playing dress ups for this weekend's two concerts in Auckland.

Sam Hitchcock began planning her outfit months ago when she first bought tickets to the Monster Ball show.

"I love the big bow that she has and then crazy glasses and crazy outfits. Probably not as skimpy as what she's going to be wearing but yeah, definitely down the same lines," Sam told ONE News.

Sam and her friends are just some of the Gaga fans who will fill Vector Arena and some have been camping down since 7am, 11 hours before the doors open and more than 14 hours until the lady herself takes the stage.

It's a wait they are only too happy to face and on Sunday another 12,000 fans will fill the venue for a second episode.
