Kylie Minogue to do first US tour

Pop icon Kylie Minogue is set to tour North America for the first time in her career.

The tiny singer will kick off the tour in Oakland, California on September 30 before hitting Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and New York.

According to MTV.com, Minogue wanted to tour the US and Canada for years and is thrilled that the opportunity has finally arrived.

Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and fought a very public battle with the disease, for which she has been honoured by both Britain and France.

MTV also says that in addition to her upcoming tour, Minogue plans to enter the studio once more to record her 11th studio album.
