Two Kiwi teenagers have lived the tweenage dream - meeting up with Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber.

Silvia Salinas and Tori Sussex, students at Carmel College on Auckland's North Shore, won a competition to go and meet the pop idol in New York.

In typical teenage "like"-speak, they described their excitement to Tim Wilson on Close Up.

"We're, like, New Zealanders, and suddenly we're, like, in New York in a limo about to meet him, it's crazy," Tori said.

Like any teenager, Tori prepared for meeting the 16-year-old pop heart-throb by getting her hair done - hair extensions were the order of the day.

Avila did likewise, heading to a beauty salon.

And after joining the masses at the sold-out Madison Square Gardens concert, the Kiwi teens met their man - along with a group of other competition winners.

The girls only got 20 seconds with their idol, but say it was the meeting of a lifetime.
