Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't have cared.

Every month, some lads' mag or other brings out some list about the hottest/sexiest/phwoar-worthiest celebrities around.

These generally comprise a selection of actresses, supermodels and D-list glamour girls you've never heard of. And every month the order is re-jigged as the mags compete for free publicity and headlines.

Normally, it wouldn't faze me the least because, well, who cares? They are of no consequence to my life.

But the latest list to come out isn't normal. And I can't let it go.

This week, Maxim's Hot 100 list declared Katy Perry is the hottest lady in the land . Ahead of Brooklyn Decker (a prime example of one of those swimwear models no one's ever heard of).

Katy Perry is - hands down - the MOST annoying celebrity ever to walk this earth.

Worse than Lindsay, Britney and Paris combined.

More irksome than Tom Cruise, Justin Bieber and the entire cast of The Hills.

In fact, one of the few people whose annoyance factor even compares to Perry's is British comedian Russell Brand - her fiancee.

I am willing to admit my loathing of Perry is somewhat irrational.

Sure, she's an attention-seeking harlot responsible for some of the worst pop music ever played on radio - but she's not the only one.

And yes, she is incapable of looking anyone in the eye as she desperately scans the crowd begging for further attention and adulation.

But half of Hollywood is the same, so I can't really single her out for that.

Whatever it is - something about her makes me physically want to hit things.

I want her to be exiled to an island of annoying celebrities - where she can dress up as madly as she likes and straddle giant chapsticks and do all the other ridiculous things she does - away from my line of vision.

While she's there - I can think of some other people that could join her.

Taking a leaf from Maxim's book - I give you my Annoying 10 List. I would have done 100 but frankly, who has that kind of time?

1. Katy Perry
2. Elizabeth Hasselbeck
3. Spencer Pratt
4. Katherine Heigl
5. Shia LeBouffhead
6. Kanye West
7. Russell Brand
8. Sarah Jessica Parker (well, actually more Carrie Bradshaw than SJP but she still bugs me.)
9. Keira Knightley. (Or more specifically, Keira Knightley's jaw.)
10. Anne Hathaway

Well all I can say is there are way more things out there that are more annoying than some little girls/boys trying to get attention. You could say that you have just added to it.

How is this news at all?Is our world that sad that rather than keeping us informed on what our governments are doing and the advancement of science, we have lists of what 'celbs' annoy someone.
