Style Blog invites you to take a peek inside a stylist's handbag to see all the essentials we simply just can't live without.

iPhone (or Blackberry)

Essential for keeping track of a busy schedule filled with fittings with clients, wardrobe prepping, meetings with designers and all other appointments.

The camera in the iPhone is also a must have for any stylist who needs to photograph looks that can then be emailed to clients.

Photos can be the best visual reference. Seriously handy!

The handbag organiser

This is the must have for those of us who have a "tardis" for a handbag, when despite the size of the bag, it's always virtually impossible to ever find anything in it!

The Handbag Organiser is a brilliant invention. No more having to tip the contents of your bag out to find your phone, keys, lipstick, etc. You simply put everything into its own compartment in the Handbag Organiser and then pop it into your handbag. It also makes changing handbags a breeze - just lift it out of one bag into another.

We love the ones IQ Bags do. Check them out at iqbags.co.nz

Make up

Make up is a necessity in the life as a busy stylist. Quick "touch ups" need to be done to stay looking fresh and groomed.

Lip gloss: MAC's Plush glass lip gloss in "Fulfilled" is a current fave.

Foundation: Smashbox's Healthy Fix High Definition foundation is beautiful.

Blusher: Smashbox's Lip Tech in "Peony" used as a lovely cream blusher.

Bronzer: Elizabeth Arden's Pure Finish Mineral Bronzing Powder in Medium.

Eyeliner: Smashbox's Waterproof Limitless Eye Liner in "Indigo Ink" which has a sharpener inside the cap. Brilliant!

Eyelash curler: Shu Uemura is number one in our world.

Mascara: MAC's Zoom lash is the blackest of black!

Beauty saviour

Don't you just hate it when someone says to you: "God, you look so tired, are you feeling ok?" (even when you actually feel great.) This translates as "You look really terrible!"

To combat this problem, we love using Kiehls Ultimate White Darkness Diminishing Activated Eye Treatment. This product will banish any hideous dark circles you may have under your eyes. You will look alive again and not like a walking cadaver anymore. Hoorah! It's totally worth the $89 RRP.

Flash Tape (or Hollywood Tape)

This is a wardrobe mistress' number one tool for preventing major wardrobe malfunctions! The best in the biz is Flash Tape from the States, as it's really strong. But use Hollywood tape as an alternative (available from Glassons & Portmans, etc.)

Safety pins and needle and thread

These are a godsend when it comes to emergency jobs that need pinning or quick repairs.

Measuring tape

It's good to have a tape measure on hand when it comes to measuring clients and checking sizes on garments.

We really don't know where we'd be without all of these daily essentials - they rule our world!

See you all next week!
