Idol host and TV chef join forces

Ryan Seacrest and Jamie Oliver, two of the most popular men in television, are joining forces for a new reality show giving makeovers to a whole city

Hollywood Reporter says British chef Oliver American Idol host Seacrest will work together in an ABC backed programme which will see Oliver travel to the unhealthiest places in America and find ways to use local resources to improve people's eating habits.

The show is loosely based on Oliver's school lunch project in the UK, Jamie's School Dinners .

Seacrest's company, Ryan Seacrest Productions, will produce the six-part series.

The network has ordered six hours of the project from Ryan Seacrest Productions.
