Kiwi actress Anna Hutchison, who's to be seen in tonight's season finale of Go Girls on TV2, is getting her chance to shine in the upcoming New Zealand International Film Festival.
It's been announced today that Joss Whedon's latest film, The Cabin in the Woods , will premiere in Auckland and Wellington from July.
It had been revealed that the film, which has had critical acclaim, was due to go straight to DVD in Australia and New Zealand. But, following that announcement last week on Facebook, a petition was started to ensure it got a cinematic release.
Now, Ant Timpson, the curator of the Incredibly Strange Film Festival's revealed that the film will be part of the line up of the festival when it kicks off in July in Auckland. It's also being shown in Wellington but there's no word yet on whether it will play around New Zealand.
Hutchison stars alongside Aussie Chris Hemsworth, who played Thor in the recent smash hit The Avengers . It was also revealed last week that Hutchison will be starring in the next series of sex, swords and sandals saga Spartacus, which has previously starred Lucy Lawless.
