The festive season is happily upon us and lots of party invitations are already flooding our in-boxes, hooray!
Now the search begins for the ultimate "party" dress.
It's always great when you find a winner that covers all the bases, from the semi-casual BBQ or pool party right up to those uber-glam cocktail parties (with, naturellement, the mandatory xmas work-do thrown into the mix!)
This is the perfect time for us to break free from our boring "safe" looks and instead try something a bit bolder or more exhuberant than the norm.
When it comes to looking for something a bit different yet at the same time sophisticated, feminine and super sexy, Style Blog's current fave store "du jour" is VIDAVIVIDA which is located in Ponsonby, Auckland.
This store is run but Marielle, a drop-dead-gorgeous Brazillian
woman who imports unique and incredibly sexy pieces from her
homeland. Everything in the store is 100% made in Brazil and
if you have a party to go to and you are in dire need of some thing
fabulous, check it out!
Marielle is really the best advertisement for the garments she
stocks. Like most Brazilians, she is incredible looking,
exceptionally vivacious and most importantly,100% comfortable in
her body.
This is something us Kiwi lasses need to learn from our South American sisters who truly celebrate their womanly curves and enjoy life to the maximum!
At VIDAVIVIDA, Style Blog particularly loves:
- the sexy Gucci-esque printed maxi dresses
- the dresses in the strong, bold colours with wonderful jewellery
and hardwear detailing in the designs
- the black strapless mini dress totally encrusted in sparkly
gems
- and of course the fabulous jewellery, long pendants and super
glam bangles and cuffs!
For those not in Auckland, an alternative solution can be found in major chains stores such as Max who do good party dresses - in particular great maxi dresses.
We can't wait for summer to start trying these out by the poolside
with a refreshing caprioska at the ready!
