Hobbit actress Evangeline Lilly says it "doesn't get much cooler" than being on a stamp from Middle-earth.
New Zealand Post has released a series of stamps and coins to mark the premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
The Sir Peter Jackson film, the second in the Hobbit franchise, will make its debut in Los Angeles tonight ahead of its New Zealand release on December 12.
The official stamps and commemorative coins feature characters from the movie.
Actress Evangeline Lilly, who plays Elf warrior Tauriel in the film, said she was delighted to be on a stamp.
"I'm on a stamp and coin from Middle-earth. It doesn't get much cooler than that."
"I have so much love for New Zealand and so I'm honoured that she is showing me such love," she said.
Characters Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, Thorin Oakenshield, Bard and Legolas Greenleaf are also featured on the stamps and coins, which went on sale last month.
Among the coins released are a premium gold coin and set and a silver coin with gold plating.
