Diaz throws baby shower for Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore has been thrown a baby shower by her long-time friend Cameron Diaz.

The 39-year-old actress put on a backyard baby shower, complete with bouncy castle for the kids, at her home in Los Angeles last week, which saw 50 guests - including Barrymore's husband of two months, Will Kopelman - having fun in the swimming pool and gorging on chips and guacamole.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Kids were jumping in a bouncy castle."

Barrymore - who starred alongside Diaz in 2000 action movie Charlie's Angels - recently admitted she has become addicted to carbohydrates since becoming pregnant, and she does not feel like eating any "fancy food".

She said: "I'm a carb queen. I'll always order macaroni and cheese, but I don't want it to be fancy. I want it to be as close to Kraft Services [on set catering] as it can possibly get!

"I love inventive food, but I want the classic dishes to taste like how I remember them. I get a little bummed out when there is too much fancy stuff going on and it doesn't resemble the original dish at all."

Barrymore tied the knot with art consultant Kopelman in June after he proposed to the brunette beauty in January.

It is Barrymore's third marriage after she was wed to Welsh bar owner Jeremy Thomas between March and April 1994 and then she tied the knot with comedian Tom Green in July 2001 but she filed for divorce from him before the end of the year.
