Dennis Hopper rushed to hospital

Actor Dennis Hopper has been rushed to a New York hospital after developing flu-like symptoms, according to his publicist Sheila Feren.

Entertainment Tonight is reporting that  the star arrived at a Manhattan hospital wearing an oxygen mask and had "numerous tubes visible" at the time of his hospital admission.

Hopper has starred in movies such as Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet, and Hoosiers. He has been nominated twice for an Oscar.
