Actor Charlie Sheen went to a Los Angeles hospital where his
wife was being treated for a high fever, boosting reports that the
couple want to reconcile after a violent Christmas Day
quarrel.
Celebrity website TMZ.com posted video of the Two and a Half Men TV
star entering Sherman Oaks Hospital, apparently to see his wife,
Brooke Mueller.
Mueller's lawyer told TMZ she had been admitted to the intensive
care unit with an infection from dental surgery, but was expected
to be released later on Wednesday.
Sheen, 44, was arrested on Christmas Day in the ski resort of
Aspen, Colorado, after Mueller told police he pulled a knife on her
during an argument and threatened to have her killed.
No formal charges have been filed and Mueller is widely reported to
want the case dropped.
"She wants to reconcile and get on with her life with Charlie and
the babies," Mueller's lawyer Yale Galanter was quoted as telling
the New York Daily News on Wednesday.
Sheen and his third wife, who married in 2008 and have
nine-month-old twin boys, are due back in court in Aspen on Friday,
when Sheen will ask for the lifting of a restraining order that
prohibits him from having contact with his wife.
Mueller's lawyers have told the court that she also wants the order
removed.
