The Los Angeles County Coroner says there are no suspicious circumstances in the death of Brittany Murphy, but a post mortem will be conducted.

That will be carried out in the next few days.

The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday morning NZT, two hours after her mother found her unconscious in the shower of her Hollywood Hills home.

Earlier this month, Murphy was fired from the film The Caller and on the way back to LA from Puerto Rico, her husband Simon Monjack lost consciousness on the plane and was rushed to hospital.

Murphy starred in films opposite Michael Douglas, Ashton Kutcher, Eminem and Angelina Jolie, but failed to attain their level of success. In recent years, she worked mostly in low-budget movies, while her emaciated appearance sparked concerns about her health.
