The dream run for British singing sensation Susan Boyle's debut
album is continuing, as she makes New Zealand record history.
The star's album I Dreamed A Dream is number one in the New
Zealand album charts and has become the highest selling debut album
in New Zealand documented chart history.
Sony Music Sales Director Noel Barclay says the "Scottish Sensation" has outdone some big names in entertainment.
He says Susan Boyle has eclipsed the likes of James Blunt, Metallica and U2.
Barclay expects the album will sell more than 100,000 copies before Christmas.
The album has already become the fastest-selling worldwide debut of all time for a female artist - shooting to number one in the UK, Ireland and Australia.
Susan Boyle is also on her way to number one in the US and Canada, and has hit number one on iTunes in France, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland and Japan.
'I Dreamed a Dream' has found its way into two million homes worldwide in its first seven days.
