Boy shares jury prize at Indian film festival

New Zealand film director Taika Waititi's movie Boy has shared the special jury award at the 41st International Film Festival of India in Goa today with Kaushik Ganguly's Just Another Love Story.

Noted Bengali filmmaker Goutam Ghose's Moner Manush won the Golden Peacock for the best film, the Hindustan times reported.

Earlier this month Boy has received an Audience Award in the world cinema section of the audience and jury awards at the American Film Institute Awards.

Boy is based on Waititi's Oscar-nominated short film Two Cars One Night and is about a boy living on the East Coast in 1984, his absent father and his love of Michael Jackson.

Boy become New Zealand's top earning film of all time, overtaking The World's Fastest Indian, this yearr.
