Three of the original members of Black Sabbath will reunite for their first New Zealand show in nearly 40 years in April.
The band - vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi - will return to New Zealand in April 2013 for an arena show at Auckland's Vector Arena on Saturday April 20.
The show will be their first New Zealand concert since performing at the Great Ngaruawahia Music Festival in January 1973.
Black Sabbath formed in Birmingham, UK, in 1969. The band is commonly regarded as one of the greatest of all time and is credited with inventing heavy metal.
Original drummer Bill Ward will not tour with the band, having failed to reach an agreement regarding his contract in February.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 9am Friday 30 November - although members can access tickets first, during a members-only pre-sale starting 12pm on Monday November 26.
