David and Victoria Beckham are set to splash out on a 10 million pound London home.

The former Spice Girls star has her sights set on a three-storey house in the exclusive district of Chelsea, further fuelling rumours David will soon leave Los Angeles Galaxy soccer club.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Victoria makes no secret of the fact she loves that house. She has had her eye on it for a while.

"It would be perfect London pad for the Beckham family."

Victoria first discovered the house in 2002 and recommended it to urban music mogul Damon Dash. The 35-year-old star attended several parties there before she fell out with Damon while working on an album.

The singer-turned-fashion designer asked her aide to contact estate agents to arrange a viewing when she discovered the property had recently gone on the market.

The house, which is just off the famous Kings Road shopping area, boasts five bedrooms, a cinema, roof terrace, designer kitchen and a pool in the basement.

David and Victoria are also believed to have started looking at schools in the UK capital for their three sons - 10-year-old Brooklyn, Romeo, six, and four-year-old Cruz.

David, 34, still has three years left on his contract with Los Angeles Galaxy, but recently admitted he would love to play in Europe again permanently, following his recent loan to Italian club AC Milan.

Since returning to the US, David has been subjected to abuse from angry supporters and it is believed he is unsure about staying with Los Angeles Galaxy.

The athlete has been linked to a number of English teams, including London sides Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
