Amy Winehouse's life could be turned into a musical.

The troubled singer's brother, Alex Winehouse, believes a stage production focusing on the Rehab star's battle with drink, drugs and her failed marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil is a serious possibility now she is getting her life back on track.

He says: "Amy is much better. I think one day there could be a musical of Amy's life. You just don't ever know how far things can go these days."

The 25-year-old star returned from an extended break on the Caribbean island of St Lucia last month where she had been working on her comeback LP.

Since her return, Winehouse has appeared in court over allegations she had assaulted dancer Sherene Flash - for which she was found not guilty - and is expecting her divorce from Fielder-Civil to be finalised in the next few weeks.

However, Alex Winehouse thinks the musical should also contain some of her happier, childhood memories as well as the more dramatic aspects of his sister's personal life.

He added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She was a really happy kid. We'd sit around and watch Fawlty Towers, howling with laughter."
