Aerosmith to play in NZ for the first time

Published: 9:24AM Monday February 25, 2013 Source: ONE News

Aerosmith have announced they are heading to New Zealand this year.

Aerosmith emerged in the early '70s with a sexy swagger and thrusts of metal and glam, creating quintessential power ballads such as Dream On.

A string of gold and platinum albums followed including Get Your Wings, Toys In The Attic and Rocks.

They have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide and won four Grammys.

The group have never performed in New Zealand but on April 24th they will play Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Aerosmith's lead guitarist Joe Perry told TV ONE's Breakfast after four decades, their performance in April is going to make up for not coming to New Zealand for so long.
