Country Calendar - Our People, Their Food
Like most of us, I've been a fan of the iconic Country Calendar television programme for many years. As I watched one evening, it occurred to me that nobody had ever taken the programme that one step further to discover if the families cook with what they cultivated, reared or grew.
I travelled the length of the country, warmly welcomed into the homes of families who have featured on Country Calendar. And now, along with this collection of ten of my favourite Country Calendar episodes from recent years, are some of the recipes I gathered while photographing, cooking with and writing about the wonderful people I met along the way.
