David Bain's lawyers have won the right to have certain evidence left out of his retrial.

His defence team went to the Supreme Court to appeal some aspects of evidence which was to be presented by the Crown.

The Supreme Court issued a judgement on Friday afternoon saying the appeal has been granted, meaning the disputed evidence will be left out.

All details of the appeal and the disputed evidence continue to be suppressed.
