Josh Kronfeld
Former All Black Josh Kronfeld was best known on the rugby field
for speed with which he was able to get to the breakdowns in play,
to gain or regain possession of the ball, and excelling for New
Zealand Rugby in the 1990s, perfecting the role of the modern
flanker.
Growing up in the Hawke's Bay, Josh moved to Dunedin to study
physical education at the University of Otago, where his rugby
career took-off. Playing for Otago, the Highlanders and Leicester
throughout his career, he also played 56 games for the All Blacks,
gaining 54 test caps and appearing at both the 1995 and 1999 Rugby
World Cup.
After retiring from professional rugby in 2003, Josh returned to
Otago to study physiotherapy. No stranger to Kiwi screens, he has
appeared on TV2's Celebrity Treasure Island and Superstars Of
Treasure Island.
Currently working as a physiotherapist, Josh spends his spare time
surfing and relaxing in Raglan.
