Candy Lane (co-host)
By the age of 15, Candy Lane had won every New Zealand ballroom
dancing title open to her, and at 18 was the youngest ever to win
the Australian Professional Championships (which she went on to win
five times). She also held the Australasian and South Pacific
Professional Championship titles.
Candy was also the highest-ranked New Zealander ever to compete in
the most prestigious competition in dancing - the British Open
To The World Championship. She is an international adjudicator and
has judged at the Ballroom and Latin American World
Championships.
During her international career she has performed for the British
royal family, was chosen to play the lead in West Side Story by
Leonard Bernstein himself, and has partied with the likes of George
Best.
Candy runs one of New Zealand's most successful professional dance
companies.
Most recently, Candy choreographed and performed at the 2008 Qantas
Film And Television Awards; was dance director for TV2's Singing
Bee, which features the Candy Lane Dancers as the Honey Bees; and
appeared in TV2's Shock Treatment.
