Black Caps skipper Daniel Vettori has been given the all-clear after undergoing a scan on a head injury suffered he during the second ODI against Pakistan, a team official said.
Vettori was ruled out of the first Twenty20 game on Friday after the incident brought on vomiting.
"The scan report is clear, but Vettori had concussion and will be continuously monitored." New Zealand manager Dave Currie said before the clash.
Vettori was hit on the grill of the helmet, during the three-match one-day series that the Black Caps won 2-1 at Abu Dhabi, but had not felt well in the last few days.
The injury-hit Black Caps had just 12 players to choose from before the first of the two Twenty20 internationals which they lost by 49 runs to Pakistan
Pacemen Kyle Mills (shoulder) and James Franklin (back) were ruled out of the match, Jacob Oram left for home to attend his child's birth while a groin injury scuppered Aaron Redmond.
