The Black Caps will play Tests in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, plus three ODIs and three Twenty20 internationals against South Africa in December/January.
Cricket South Africa has announced its home schedule for the 2012-13 summer, with New Zealand opening their tour with a T20 warmup match in Pietermaritzburg on December 18.
Then follow T20 internationals in Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth, before a three-day warmup match in Paarl from December 28-30.
The two Tests start on January 2 (Cape Town) and January 11 (Port Elizabeth), before ODIs in Paarl, Kimberley and Potchefstroom.
