The Rotorua-born speedster was a shock inclusion in then-coach
Andy Moles' squad for the Chappell/Hadlee series in Australia in
early 2009. Though he's yet to make his international debut, Boult
was knocking on the door last summer with a string of intimidating
performances that saw him rewarded with a New Zealand "A" touring
spot last winter. Capable of real pace despite his slender build,
and a reasonable lower-order batsman, Boult appears unfazed by the
hype surrounding him and opened his latest first-class campaign for
Northern Districts with a five-for against Auckland
