Tests: 14 (first in 1990/91)
ODIs: 12 (first in 1980/81)
Capacity: 10,000.
Ends: Members End, City End.
Domestic team: Northern Districts

Seddon Park won test-match status in the 1990/91 summer when New Zealand drew the match with Sri Lanka.

The Black Caps have a terrific record in Hamilton, winning five of the 13 tests played there and losing just two.

It is a beautiful ground, the traditional cricketing venue with a picket fence, pavillion and grass embankment running around almost the entire facility.

New Zealand Cricket has recognised the ground as one of the premier test venues in New Zealand along with the Basin Reserve in Wellington, and generally hosts at least one test a summer.
