Tests: Nil.
ODIs: 3 (first in 1998/99).
Capacity: 15,000.
Ends: North End, Lake Taupo end.
Domestic team: Northern Districts.

Taupo became an international venue back in the summer of 1998/99 when they hosted a day-night match between New Zealand and India.

The venue is a lovely ground in a place where many New Zealanders go during holiday season.

The first game will be remembered for a power failure that saw the lights go off for nearly an hour before players were able to return to the field.

Taupo has hosted three one-dayers there but has missed out to Queenstown in the last couple of summers.

It will once again not host a match in 2004/05 but surely will be used in an international match in the near future.
