Black Caps bowler Iain O'Brien is expected to be available for the second Test against Pakistan, starting in Wellington on Thursday.

O'Brien suffered a dislocation of the middle finger of his right hand during the first Test in Dunedin.

He saw a specialist in Wellington on Monday and x-rays confirmed that there was no fracture.

He has minor swelling and discomfort but is expected to recover fully and will be available for selection.
