Bowling Style: Right-arm fast-medium

Kyle Mills is another New Zealand cricketer whose career has been greatly stalled by injuries. He made his ODI debut in 2001 but it took three years for Mills to force his way into the Test side. Now days, his forte is considered to be limited-overs cricket where he is a regular feature of the Black Caps opening bowling attack. His form has seen him consistently rank inside the top ten ICC one-day ranked bowlers over the past few years. The Aucklander is also handy with the bat and has been known to take the long handle to bowling attacks when he comes in down the order. Mills is one of the more fiery characters in the New Zealand squad. He's been docked match fees for excessive appealing and bad language on several occasions. He was also involved in on-field verbal altercation with South African captain Graeme Smith in 2005. With injuries continuing to flare up the 32-year old is in the backend of his career but the New Zealand cricket public can only hope his career is prolonged for at least one more World Cup.
