Eden Park is the traditional home of New Zealand cricket.
The first test played in the famous Auckland ground was between New Zealand and England in the summer of 1929/30.
That match resulted in a draw.
It wasn't until the summer of 1955/56 that New Zealand recorded their first test win, on home soil against the West Indies at Eden Park.
Since then, Eden Park has seen it all and been the venue of some of New Zealand's proudest cricketing memories. The chanting of Had-lee, Had-lee, the 1992 World Cup dream run to the semifinals and the comeback test win over England in 2002 that tied the series at one game all.
The stadium is New Zealand's main sporting ground with major cricket and rugby tests being played there.
Eden Park has very unique dimensions, with narrow boundaries square of the wicket, making it hard to set fields, particularly in one-day games.
