AMI Stadium, previously Jade Stadium, has become one of New Zealand's elite sporting grounds, hosting all major rugby and cricket games in Christchurch.

The ground has slowly become one that caters for modern sport, and the commercial realities that effect it.

Despite the new stands that replaced the terraces, the old scoreboard remains intact and the ground is one that is highly thought of by both sportsman and spectators alike.

The Hadlee Stand bears the name of one of Christchurch's most famous sporting families and recognises the feats of those who once achieved memorable milestones on the ground.

It was the venue where Sir Richard Hadlee became the world's leading test wicket-taker in 1988.
