Wellington pace bowler Andy McKay is starting to dream about facing Australia after seemingly cementing himself in the Black Caps' one-day line-up.
The left-armer has impressed in the first two one-dayers against Bangladesh, picking up four wickets and bowling at speeds close to 150 kilometres an hour.
McKay says Australia will be the true test as they are considered the benchmark so it would be great to have a chance to play them.
The 29-year-old says he has been surprised with the speeds he has reached, but he can go faster.
He says bowling coach Shane Jurgensen has identified a few technical aspects of his delivery stride which can be improved.
The Black Caps and Bangladesh arrive in Christchurch on Tuesday
ahead of Thursday's final one-dayer.
Meanwhile, Nathan McCullum has been called into
the squad as Daryl Tuffey has a slight hamstring strain
and is being rested.
