Richard Langston - director
Richard Langston started work as a journalist at the tender age of 17 on a newspaper in Dunedin. He has several children older than that now, as well as 36 years of reporting and broadcasting behind him. He loves nothing better than to travel around New Zealand listening and recording people’s stories for television and radio.
"I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to work on Country Calendar – a place of beautiful pictures and beautiful stories," he says. "Even my mother would be proud."
Richard has also written five books of poetry – but, as some of his friends point out, he has yet to make one rhyme.
