Jerome Cvitanovich - reporter & director
Jerome Cvitanovich has been involved with Country Calendar for nearly 20 years, after coming to the programme from National Radio.
When he first joined the show he was, by his own admission, largely ignorant of farming matters, with no background in the industry aside from the occasional school holiday farm visit.
Since then he has worked on many rural television shows including Agritech 2000, Number Eight Wired, Grass Roots Business and most recently Rural Delivery, as well as contributing to Radio New Zealand National's Country Life series.
He says nothing quite matches working with people on the land. "It's a real privilege to get to know rural people and get the feel of the landscape."
While still no expert in agriculture, Jerome reckons he can now pick the difference between a heifer and a hogget and is contemplating a retirement career as a farm advisor.
