Don Paulin - sound recordist
Don Paulin has worked as a field sound recordist for Country Calendar on and off for the past 36 years.
He has worked in a similar role for a wide range of film and television productions, ranging from reality shows and documentaries through to TV dramas and feature films.
Don is also an award winning designer of sound effects for TV dramas such as Karaoke High and Insider's Guide To Happiness, as well as feature films including Broken English.
Don grew up in the Canterbury towns of Little River and Leeston, and loves nothing better than spending time in rural New Zealand.
"Country Calendar is my favourite show to work on," he says. "You get to go to great places, spend time with great people and contribute to a programme of real quality."
