The End of the Road
This year, after six seasons of ups and downs, much-loved comedy Cougar Town will air its final episode.
It was an emotional time among the cast and crew as the filming came to an end, the bunch having formed a close bond over the years. "This is a great group of people. The show is fun and the writing is great, it's been a once in a lifetime opportunity," says leading lady Courtney Cox.
Busy Phillips, who plays fan-favourite Laurie, describes the experience as life-changing, "it's meant more to me than I can properly articulate."
A wrap party was held on January 24 at Hollywoods Rivabella restaurant, where the gang celebrated with a bittersweet finality.
So what's in store for our stars in the future? Courtney Cox is gearing up to direct her first feature-length movie, titled Just Before I Go and starring her ex-husband David Arquette. As for the rest of the Cul-de-sac Crew, we'll be on the lookout for any upcoming performances.
But don't fret just yet! Season six is still airing on TV2 and TVNZ OnDemand. This current season is sure to be a great one, with plenty of laughs right until the final moment. Look forward to a guest appearance from Cindy Crawford too.
"Every episode has been really fun. Silly and fun, and there's been a lot of heart," Courtney says.
The final season of Cougar Town is currently airing on TV2, weekdays at 12pm.
