Steve and Dan fall out
Michelle's less than pleased when she returns home from Ireland to find Leanne behind the bar, but the two soon work out their differences and bond as they gossip about their boyfriends Steve and Dan.
However it's the boy's turn to squabble as they debate the quickest driving route across Manchester. Unable to agree, they decide the settle the issue with a race. When Dan wins Steve proves to be a sore loser. He challenges Dan to a darts match and wins, but as Michelle and Dan share a joke at Steve's expense it's clear that Steve is not letting it go.
When Dan complains about cabs parking outside the bookies Steve brushes him off, promising to deal with it when he gets around to it. However when Norris scratches Steve's car trying to get past Steve is convinced that Dan has done it out of spite and demands that he pay for the damages.
Dan denies scratching Steve's car and refuses to pay. Steve swipes Dan's phone, refuses to return it until he pays up. Dan confronts Steve in the Rovers and a row ensues. Later Dan returns to try to reason with Steve. As Dan reaches for the phone he accidentally clips Steve round the eye. Steve responds by throwing the phone down the cellar stairs. As Dan goes to fetch it Steve locks him in there and goes to bed.
The next morning Steve eventually unlocks the cellar to find that Dan is unconscious.
After an emergency operation Dan is interviewed by the police and tells them that Steve knew he was injured and left him there. Steve is arrested.
Released on bail, Steve confronts Dan at the hospital but Dan refuses to change his story.
Facing prison and with Michelle less than sympathetic Steve storms out and goes to find Lloyd. After a long drinking session they encounter Becky at the kebab shop, who has been drowning her sorrows over Jason. Drunkenly Steve and Becky discuss their woes and soon begin kissing.
After waking up with Becky Steve hurries to cover his tracks, asking Lloyd to cover for him. On arriving home a suspicious Michelle urges Steve to try to talk Dan round.
Steve's pleas to Dan fall on deaf ears, but Harry begins to suspect that Dan's not telling the whole truth. Harry convinces Dan that getting Steve sent down won't win them any friends on the street. Dan relents and changes his statement to the police. Dan and Harry go to let Steve know that he's off the hook...with the police at least. Michelle however is still suspicious. Click here to read more
