Peter Gunn plays Brian Packham
Peter Gunn (born 13 February 1963) plays Brian Packham on Coronation Street.
Peter’s first credited role was in 1988, in the short-film Treacle. Since then, he has gone onto appear in dozens of television and movie roles – both in the UK and in the USA.
Guest television roles have included appearances in Never The Twain, Pie In The Sky, Grange Hill, A Touch Of Frost, The Bill, Casualty, Heartbeat, The Street and Holby City.
As well as dozens of guest television roles, Peter appeared in a number of successful movies before joining the cast of Coronation Street.
These include roles in When Saturday Comes (appearing alongside Sean Bean and Academy Award nominee Pete Postlethwaite), Brassed Off (with Ewan McGregor).
He is probably best known to American audiences for his role in Hannah Montana: The Movie, starring as Oswald Granger, an undercover journalist who sets out to discover Hannah Montana's secret and expose it to the world. Peter starred opposite Miley Cyrus, who played titular character Hannah Montana.
Brian was initially intended to be a guest character, appearing in 2010. He was bought back as a permanent character in 2011.
