Storylines: Jodie helps her father Jerry to look after her siblings and in running Jerry's Takeaways. Jerry often takes advantage of this, dumping his responsibilities on her and sister Jodie.
Mel agreed to go on a date with David Platt, but stood him up after Sarah Platt told her of his history of stalker-like crushes. David then spread a rumour that he had slept with her, and was forced to apologise when confronted by Jerry.
