Date of Birth: 25 February 1974

Storylines: Liam got a bargain when he convinced Adam Barlow to sell his share in Underworld, and together with his brother Paul they soon took over the business.

Liam and Paul's wife Carla often disagreed over the direction of the business, especially when Liam was implicated in covering up the death of Kasia during Carla's illegal night shift

Liam confessed to his sister Michelle that it was Paul that had been driving during the crash which killed her partner Dean. To avoid prosecution the brothers had moved Dean into the driver's seat before the police arrived.

Liam dated Leanne Battersby, believing her to be an estate agent, but broke up with her after it was revealed that she was an escort. Paul was killed in a car accident as he tried to take revenge on Leanne, who was trapped in the boot.

With Paul's widow Carla now his partner at Underworld the tension increased when Liam kissed her during an argument.

Ignoring his attraction for his sister-in-law Liam began dating Maria Sutherland. She gave him a puppy, which he named Ozzy. Maira became pregnant and they married, in spite of the attempts by Carla to seduce him.

Liam and Maria had a still born son who they named Paul after Liam's brother. The couple split briefly at this time due to the stress of losing the baby and the presence of Carla, but reunited.

Liam is a boy at heart, lacking the hard business sense of Paul or Carla. He is Irish, but is a devoted Manchester City fan.
