Storylines: Kirk dated Fiz Brown, but their relationship hit difficulty when Fiz's old enemy Molly Compton tried to break them up. Kirk tried to woo Fiz by singing The Real Slim Shady to her. They reconciled but Fiz left Kirk to be with old flame John Stape. Hoping to win her back, Kirk proposed, but was rejected.
Along with Jamie Baldwin, Kirk saved Claire Peacock from a house fire, but he lost the Weatherfield Kennels, which he owned with sister Maria, in a law suit after he inadvertently neutered a pedigree dog.
Kirk lived with the Battersbys and was best man at Cilla and Les' wedding With Les away on tour and Cilla in Las Vegas, Kirk took on caring for Chesney, who despite being much younger Kirk is among his best friends. Kirk worked as a butcher with Ashley Peacock, but lost his job due to falling business. Soon after Social Services took Chesney into care and Fiz moved in with Kirk in order to be Chesney's guardian.
Kirk met Julie Carp when he went to Cyprus to visit his parents, and they began dating.
Kirk enjoys life's simple pleasures, like dogs, pizza and video games.
