Ian Puleston-Davies plays Owen Armstrong


Ian Puleston-Davies (born 6 September 1958) plays Owen Armstrong on Coronation Street.

Ian was born in Wales and has been acting professionally since the early 1980s. He has been credited in over 60 TV roles since 1983.

Before joining Coronation Street, Puleston-Davies has appeared in a number of iconic British shows including Grange Hill, Foyle’s War, The Bill, I’m Alan Partridge and Silent Witness.

He also starred alongside Ray Winstone and Coronation Street alumni Suranne Jones (Karen McDonald) in the ITV series Vincent.

Like many of his Coronation Street co-stars, the cobbles of Weatherfield were not Ian’s first role in a British soap opera. He has appeared in Hollyoaks and Holby City.

Ian lives with his long-term partner and daughter.

9 June 2010: Owen Armstrong, the psychotic father of Izzy, who tracks her down at the Rovers Return to talk to her after his daughter refuses to speak to him.
